Lovlei Codner’s Magical 10th Birthday
The birthday gift of giving!
Lovlei Codner is a thoughtful, special little 10-year-old girl with a heart of gold and a true love for KicKee Pants! She approached her mom right before Christmas to tell her that she wanted to forgo receiving gifts this year on her birthday to donate to an orphanage instead and help kids who are less fortunate than her. Together they chose Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC) for foster kids and struggling mothers. Through social media, Lovlei promoted OBHC’s online registry and encouraged her friends and family to honor her birthday wish by contributing to her cause. During the month of January, she and her mom set up a Facebook fundraiser and accepted cash and PayPal donations. Not only did they raise $560, but KicKee also donated nearly 600 baby items to send along with their donation, including their one-of-a-kind, incredibly soft tops, bottoms, bloomers, lovies, bibs, swaddles, hats and more!
