Little Lion Challenge Day — Johns Hopkins Hospital

Little Lion Challenge Day — Johns Hopkins Hospital

Because small acts of kindness make a BIG ROAR.

Back in 2013, the Walsh family brought home their son with the nickname the Little Lion Man. He was born with a rare birth defect that required 111 days in the neonatal intensive care unit, several surgeries, a tracheostomy, and a feeding tube. During this time, he was able to make small amounts of progress each and every day — little roars along the way. It was the small acts of kindness that made a difference to their family. As a way to pay it forward, the Walsh family established the Little Lion Challenge to take place every year on his birthday. This event delivers books, art kits, blankets, stuffed animals, cupcakes and more to NICU’s and families.

No rookie to the cause, KicKee Pants once again showed their devotion and commitment to supporting local NICUS by donating preemie onesies to the Little Lion Challenge. There is nothing as precious as a child's first few days of life and more special than putting a smile on family's faces during a time when it takes everything they have not to frown.
