Saving lives by raising awareness about Group B Strep (GBS)
After one mom and her family watched their baby boy, Oliver, fight for his life in the NICU as a result of Bacterial Meningitis caused by Group B Strep (GBS), they started Oliver’s Little Warriors, a nonprofit that supports NICU families and raises GBS awareness. They offer support by providing care packages to mothers at local Kansas City hospitals during their child’s NICU stay, helping to spread Holiday cheer during the Holiday season by gifting books and keepsake crafts and help raise GBS awareness throughout their community by handing out GBS pamphlets and sharing Oliver’s story.
KicKee graciously donated 30 decadently soft swaddles for Oliver’s Little Warriors to include in their care packages for other loving families tending to their babies in NICUs throughout Kansas City.
