Bloodworks Northwest, a non-profit organization, is home to the first and only public cord blood bank in the Pacific Northwest and has been in operation for more than 20 years. During this time, they have banked over 14,000 cord blood units and sent out 1,200 of those for transplant to patients in need all across the globe suffering from diseases like Leukemia, Lymphoma, Sickle Cell, Metabolic, and Immune disorders. These patients rely on the generosity of families who choose to donate cord blood in order to have a second chance at life. Bloodworks is a cornerstone of healthcare in the Northwest.
Fragile times call for remarkable measures. While we don’t save lives at KicKee Pants, we do our part to help make a baby’s entrance into this world a little warmer, softer and snugglier – and certainly more stylish! We partnered with Bloodworks Northwest to provide them with nearly 3,000 super-soft and adorable circle scarf, onesie and hat sets to offer to the newborn babies delivered by their patients.
