Jack's Basket
An uplifting welcome for children with Down syndrome.
Jack’s Basket was created to celebrate all babies born with Down syndrome and each basket contains a personal letter from Jack's family and his buddies encouraging and supporting families on their new, unexpected journey. Additionally, the baskets include: brochures from Help Me Grow, Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN), Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota (DSAM), National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and Gigi's Playhouse-Twin Cities; two free online books titled Unexpected: Stories of Down Syndrome Diagnosis by Jen Jacob and Welcoming a Newborn with Down Syndrome by Nancy McCrea Iannone and Stephanie Hall; a Baby Signing Time DVD; a book titled Bloom by Kelle Hampton; the book 47 Strings: Tessa's Special Code by Becky Carey and a board book. Other caring and helpful gifts for the new arrival include a personalized onesie, a blanket, a burp cloth, a hand knit hat and booties, and some of Jack’s favorite toys.
KicKee donated nearly 500 additional items to be gifted in their baskets, including snuggly swaddles, cozy coveralls, luscious lovies, adorable onesies, tops, bottoms, footies, rompers, dresses, bibs and so much more!
