Oct 12 Avery's Angels Gastroschisis Foundation

Calling all angels

Avery’s Angels Gastroschisis Foundation is the only 501c3 in the United States dedicated to research, awareness and support for patients and families with Gastroschisis, a sometimes fatal birth defect that causes the intestines to protrude from a hole in the abdomen. They provide assistance to more than 12,000 families and partner with hospitals, research facilities and organizations worldwide in support of their cause. Avery's Angels humbly depends 100% on donations and volunteers to accomplish their vital mission.

As a small gesture of their support, they send out loving care packages to expecting families around the world containing snap front onesies, blankets, mitts, hats, booties, head bands, socks, legwarmers and travel sized toiletries. So far this year, Avery's Angels have sent out more than 700 care packages worldwide to countries ranging from the UK and France to Canada, Australia, Philippines, Vietnam, China, Estonia and the Virgin Islands.

Anything colorful and bright means so much to these families — socks, headbands, lovies, blankets — so that’s just what Kickee Pants sent Avery's Angels.

Avery’s Angels

Currently Avery’s Angels is the only 501c3 operating in the world to provide support, promote awareness and promote/fund research for gastroschisis. They provide support to over 12,000 worldwide families and partner with worldwide hospitals and research facilities and organizations with their mutual cause like short bowel, rare disease, birth defects and pediatric/neonatal and gastroenterological care. They run 100% on donations and volunteer support.
