OkCity Crisis Nursery
Exceptional child care during crisis.
The OkCity Crisis Nursery is a family-strengthening program where parents can bring their young children for emergency care lasting several hours, overnight or several days. They are the only 24-hour emergency-based child care home in the state of Oklahoma without any fees or income eligibility. It is their mission to reduce the number of child abuse and neglect cases in Oklahoma. There are several situations that lead a family to access their services, such as: a sudden illness or accident; feelings of helplessness; emotional distress, domestic violence; homelessness; drug or alcohol treatment; a medical or mental health situation, and employment or housing situation.
Times of crisis call for extra special KicKee care, which is why we graciously donated more than 600 cuddly cute items for the children at OkCity Crisis Nursery, including onesies, coveralls, PJ sets, toddler and stroller blankets, swaddles, bibs, books, plush toys, loveys and silky-soft crib sheets!
