Homeless Prenatal Program

Homeless Prenatal Program

Stable Families + Healthy Communities

The Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) is an award-winning San Francisco Family Resource Center. For 25 years, HPP has provided poor and homeless families the ability to end childhood poverty. Built on a foundation of supportive, nonjudgmental case management, they empower families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to recognize their strengths and trust in their own capacity to transform their lives.

As the first agency in San Francisco to hire former clients as program and case managers, those they serve have guided the agency’s growth and evolution. Because case managers share some of the same life experiences as the women they help, they are able to create a relationship of trust and credibility with clients. HPP has three major goals: Healthy Babies, Safe, Nurturing Families Where Children Thrive and Economically Stable Families.

The only thing more difficult than being homeless is being homeless and pregnant or homeless and pregnant with other children. It broke KicKee’s heart to even imagine the struggles of such a devastating reality for these mothers, so we wanted to do our part to at least help keep the loving moms and their little ones warm and clothed this very chilly winter. We sent HPP more than $20,000 worth of our silky-soft and snuggly items, including PJs, outerwear, hats, socks, robes, dresses, tops, bottoms and so much more!
