Homeless Prenatal Program Celebrates 30 years of Service!

Stable Families + Healthy Communities

The Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) is an award-winning San Francisco Family Resource Center. For 30 years, HPP has provided poor and homeless families the ability to end childhood poverty. At the heart of their program is non-judgmental, supportive case management provided by Family Case Managers, the majority of whom were once HPP clients themselves or come from the community they serve. HPP empowers families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to recognize their strengths and trust in their own capacity to transform their lives by focusing on four major goals: Healthy Babies; Safe, Stable Housing; Nurturing Relationships and Economic Sustainability.

All parenting is hard, but parenting without a home requires the kind of resilience, hope and strength many of us will never have the misfortune of experiencing firsthand. Thanks to HPP, homeless mothers and their babies have a safe and supportive place they can call home, and a place that we at KicKee can always send gifts for the struggling women and families in need whenever they need them. We feel so inspired by their cause that we sent HPP a huge donation last year and followed up this year with a little Holiday gift of 200 burp cloths, because life with little ones can get a wee bit messy!
