Hau’oli Breastfeeding was founded by Yuko Matsubayashi Kowal, a passionate midwife, lactation consultant, certified yoga teacher, and Hawaii-based massage therapist from Tokyo, Japan. Yuko is passionate about supporting new mothers and babies for their "Happy Breastfeeding" because she believes that breastfeeding can be an important foundation for the family. As a Japanese midwife, she is skilled in "breast massage," and holistic midwifery vision. Also as a mother of two, she has her own realistic breastfeeding experience. In addition to lactation consultation and breast massage, Hau’oli Breastfeeding also offers prenatal education and yoga classes.
For those very messy moments when little ones arrive in our lives and are still adjusting to breastfeeding and burping up their mommy’s nutritious milk, KicKee sent Hau’oli Breastfeeding 200 burp cloths! We have an extra special and personal connection to Hau’oli as well, as Yuko is the sister-in-law of our very own and beloved KicKee staffer, Lisa Rose.
