Family Crisis Center, Inc.

Silence is violence. It’s OK to ask for help.

The Family Crisis Center, Inc. was founded in 1980 as a hotline for victims of domestic violence. It soon became clear that there was a bigger need for support and the center as it is known today began to form. They house more than 150 women and children in their shelter each year and provide free domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking victim services for Coal, Garvin, McClain and Pontotoc County. Their programs are certified by the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General Victim Services Unit. They are also a member of the Oklahoma Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, as well as the Ada Regional United Way.

No woman or child should ever have to suffer from domestic violence. While we can’t put an end to it, we can do little gestures to try to help. When Family Crisis Center reached out to us at KicKee seeking clothing to help keep the sheltered women and children warm through the winter months, we were eager to show a token of our support by generously donating nearly 100 of our luxuriously soft KicKee items, including daywear outfits, sleepwear outfits and socks.
