Inova Mount Vernon Hospital – Veatch Family Emergency Department

Founded in 1976, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed community hospital offering patients convenience and state-of-the-art care in a unique healing environment. Opened in November 2016, the Veatch Family Emergency Department of Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is the DC region’s newest emergency medicine facility. Their ER team treats more than 40,000 patients each year — about 110 each day. They have new pediatric treatment rooms with child-friendly amenities.
A very caring mom (pictured on the far right below) whose child was treated at Inova Veatch ED reached out to us at KicKee wanting to give back to the hospital that took such good care of her little guy. It made our day to help make her wish come true. We responded by generously donating more than $8,000 worth of items —from snuggly swaddles to plush sheep to adorable onesies — for their staff to share with families in need. They used our gifts to enhance the compassionate care their ED clinical team provides to the over 4,000 infants and children they treat annually!
